Sourced from vines aged between 22 and 123 years old, the wine was matured in predominately second and third fill American oak puncheons for 24 months. Winemaker Richard Langford rates the 2015 vintage as an outstanding one with the fruit ripening before sugar levels became excessive resulting in wines that show great intensity and suppleness.

A rich, slippery textured Barossa Shiraz with dark and black fruits gliding effortlessly across the palate.

Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red black tinged hue. The aromas show good elevation with fresh dark plum and liquorice prevalent over well integrated vanillin oak, hints of confectionary and spice. Rich and plush in texture, mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark plums, blackberries and liquorice slip across the palate underscored by vanillin oak, subtle dark chocolate and spice. Silky tannins complimenting the fleshy opulent fruit perfectly. Excellent length with a long smooth finish of dark plums, liquorice, blackberries, vanillin oak, a hint of dark chocolate and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
