"One of the finest young vintages I have had the pleasure to taste"
- John Gilman, A View From The Cellar

As far as German Riesling goes, there have been a few contenders for vintage of the century in the last 20 years, yet not every region succeeded in these years. However the experts all agree that 2015 is the real deal, the best since 1971 and 1975, and a vintage destined to become legendary in the years to come.

"Kabinett is something the Mosel can do like no others and there is plenty of gorgeous Kabinett to please lovers of playful yet deep Riesling in 2015!!"
- Jean Fisch & David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines

It's also become clear that while there are some standout wines from newer producers in 2015, the great Estates made great wine this year, while good Estates made good wine. And for lovers of elegant, floral, yet wonderfully intense Riesling there are few greater examples than those of Dr. Loosen in the Mosel.

The Dr. Loosen estate has been in the same family for more than 200 years, and consistently produce some of the top wines across each Pradikat level. Featured here are three of their Kabinett level wines, the off-dry style that the Mosel region excels at like no other. While these wines display excellent early drinking appeal, the balance and intensity will reward those able to hide them away in the cellar for a few more years.

Brilliant pale straw colour with tinges of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted red apple aromas combine with citrusy honeysuckle notes over pear, lime juice and faint cinnamon spice. Possessing the greatest flavour intensity of the trio along with a shade more weight the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe limes and apples carefully laced with honeysuckle infusions over some pear and citrusy mineral characters. Off dry with finely tuned acidity leading to a precise finish of ripe limes, pears, honeysuckle and citrusy mineral.
Cellar 6-8 years.
