Very deep dark red black colour with a bright purple red hue. Nosing reveals ripe dark cherry and raspberry scents subtlety infused with incense followed by spicy dried herb end notes. Light to medium bodied the palate features generous flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark raspberries over traces of liquorice with a spicy, peppered finish. Finely grained tannins with an aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, raspberries, a touch of liquorice and pepper.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Other Reviews…
Winemaker Daniel Boulle has fashioned a terrific 2015 Côtes du Rhône based on 70% Grenache and 15% each of Carignan and Mourvèdre that was vinified and aged all in concrete tanks. It’s a classy black cherry, framboise and Provencal herb-scented beauty that offers medium-bodied richness, sweet fruit and a supple finish. Drink 2016-2021.
