Certified organic the 2015 Diana Madeline is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc that saw maturation in French oak barriques, two thirds of which were new, for a period of 17 months. Totally opaque black dark red core with a bright dark red hue tinged with black. Beautiful aromatics of red and black currant fruits laced with hints of violets and mulberries rise from the glass with subtle tobacco, vanillin cedar, traces of black olive and faint bay leaf ensuing. Medium bodied the palate possesses superb richness and finesse blessed with ripe red currant and mulberry fruits that sit over dusty vanillin cedar, light tobacco, traces of bay leaf and spice. Underpinning all of this is a great structure with very refined yet firm tannins that will ensure a long life. Magnificent length with a very long aftertaste of lightly spiced red currant and mulberry fruits, dusty vanillin cedar, light tobacco and subtle bay leaf.
Cellar 10-15 years.
Alc 13%

Other Reviews….
Violet and subtle leafy perfume, pure black and red fruit, baking spices, aniseed and mocha. Medium bodied, the precision here, the generous delivery of flavour trimmed of excess, seems like the work of the truly gifted: how do you make it look so easy? Sculptured tannin, ribbons of clear acidity, and length that soars. Truly, a masterpiece of Australian Cabernet. Drink 2019-2045.
