2015 Chateau Mont-Redon Lirac

Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a bright purple red hue. Nosing offers up aromas of blackberries and dark cherries subtlety laced with dried clove followed by some earth, dried meats and pepper. Medium to full bodied with rich black cherry and liquorice flavours overlaid by some dried clove characters. Ensuing are elements of scorched earth, some meatiness and pepper. Lively finish. Slightly chewy mouthfeel and tannins with an aftertaste of spicy black cherries, liquorice, dried clove, scorched earth and peppered dried meats.
