2015 Chateau Les Cabannes

Chateau Les Cabannes is owned by Toronto born winemaker Peter Kjeilberg who learnt his craft at the University of Bordeaux and then followed it up with a stint at Chateau Haut Brion.

Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Ripe mulberry and red currant aromas meld into toasty old cedar, earthy tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Quite supple in its feel the medium to full bodied palate sports flavours of ripe mulberries and blackcurrant over earthy cigar box characters, dried herbs and spice. Dryish finish with slightly grainy tannins and a medium length aftertaste of earthy dark fruits, cigar box and spicy dried herbs.
Cellar 3-4 years.
