Loaded with rich, fleshy fruit and from the outstanding 2015 vintage this entry level Bordeaux delivers great value at just $20.

Chateau du Grand Puch is situated in Saint Germain du Puch in the Entre-Deux-Mers sub region of Bordeaux; and almost half of the estate’s limestone rich 190 hectares is planted to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

A Merlot Cabernet blend this delicious, well made Bordeaux displays a very deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry intermixed with scorched earth over cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium bodied with excellent richness and a fleshy mouthfeel the palate features generous ripe blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours infused with cedary tobacco characters over a background of spicy scorched earth. Slightly dryish but otherwise finely grained, well integrated tannins. Concludes with an aftertaste of spicy ripe blackcurrants, scorched earth and cedary tobacco characters. Bordeaux of this quality at sub $20 pricing from an outstanding vintage like 2015 doesn’t come around too often. Limited Stocks.
