2015 Burn Cottage Pinot Noir

Thirty one percent whole bunch pressed and matured in French oak, 19% of which was new. Deep dark red colour, slightly cloudy, with a bright dark crimson hue. Very perfumed the nose offers up potent violet top notes which intermix with red and dark cherries, plum and strawberry over some infusions of incense, lightly toasted cedar and spicy herb notes. Intense flavours of red cherries and strawberries are laced with the slightest hint of sour cherries. Plum, subtle incense infusions and spicy cedar ensuing. Lively finish with velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power with a long savoury aftertaste of red cherries, plums, strawberries, subtle incense and spicy cedar.
