Other Reviews....
Camphor, licorice, ground clove and balsamic herb aromas lead the way along with a whiff of rose on this firmly structured, impressive red. The full-bodied palate shows structure, tension and finesse, offering Marasca cherry, pomegranate, star anise and tobacco set against taut, tightly knit but refined tannins. Drink 2023–2035.

Enzo Brezza is a typical 'vignaiolo di Langa' and its wines are crafted with care and as little intervention as possible. Sarmassa is on the other side of the famed Cannubi hill within Barolo. This vintage jumps out with a very pale garnet colour, displaying a fresh nose of strawberry, rhubarb and slightly minty notes, then showing all of its grace on a supple and balanced palate with firm, ripe tannins and a chalky finish fused with a pipe tobacco flavour. Drink 2020 - 2050.
