2015 Bindi Kaye Pinot Noir

Bindi’s Kaye vineyard was planted in 2001 and is their most elevated site. Only the best vats are included in the final wine with production generally limited to between 70 and 150 dozen.

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Very perfumed the nose sees violet, ripe red cherry and strawberry scents leading the way over faint traces of anise, forest floor and lightly spiced fresh herb notes. Light and vibrant yet intensely concentrated with a power wave of flavour that expands across the breadth of the palate like a peacock’s tail. Spicy red to dark cherries and ripe strawberries eloquently fill the mouth with complexing nuances of fresh herb infusions, lightly smoked cedar, forest floor and a subtle meatiness then chiming in. Very supple mouthfeel, smooth as silk tannins, bright perfectly balanced acidity and an exceptionally long, very delicious aftertaste.
