2015 Bass Phillip Old Cellar Pinot Noir

A blend from four of Bass Phillip’s vineyards. Semi translucent, slightly cloudy dark red colour with a crimson hue. Showing some initial restraint the nose offers up delicate aromas of red and sour cherries intermixed with fresh strawberries followed by faint hints of anise and spicy dried herbs. Light, savoury and bright the palate has flavours of red cherries and strawberries intermingling with just a touch of sour cherries. Dried herb infusions and spicy cedar making an appearance towards the finish. Supple mid palate with vibrant acidity and finely grained tannins. Concludes with a medium to long aftertaste of red cherries, strawberries, sour cherries, dried herbs and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
