2014 Wirra Wirra Woodhenge Shiraz

Outstanding colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Youthful aromas of freshly crushed blackberries, liquorice and dark plums emerge over some vanillin cedar and spice. Rich opulent fruit flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plums and liquorice swamp the palate followed by some inkiness and spicy vanillin cedar. Dry firm finish with faintly chalky tannins providing the structural framework. Aftertaste of ripe blackberries, dark plums, liquorice, inky vanillin cedar and spice. Needs a few more years in bottle to fully integrate. Cellar 5-6 years. Alc 14.5%
