Quite advanced in colour for such a young wine displaying a semi translucent dark red core with a brick red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets combine with red and dark cherry aromas underpinned by some meatiness, clove and spicy cedar. The palate has slightly more weight and power than both the Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley Pinots but is lighter than the outstanding 2013 Gippsland Pinot. It features flavours of red and dark cherries intermixed with a hint of clove, lightly smoked dried meats and spicy cedar. Supple mouthfeel with velvety tannins. Excellent power wave with a long aftertaste of red cherries, dark cherries, smoky dried meats and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13.5%
