2014 Villa Antinori Rosso

Made from principally Sangiovese with small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.
Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Elevated blackcurrant and dark cherry scents are overlaid by earth and hints of leather with spicy dried herb end notes. Medium bodied the blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours are beginning to be overtaken by earthy leather characters. Spicy dried herbs are also present. Dryish finish with a rustic feel and slightly furry tannins. Earthy conclusion of spicy black currant, dark cherries, old leather and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
