2014 Vasse Felix Shiraz

Totally opaque black purple colour with a dark purple red hue. The lifted nose shows plenty of spice and pepper. Aromas of liquorice converge with spicy dried meats and hints of black olive over vanillin cedar finishing with a burst of white pepper. Medium to full bodied with an elegant, restrained meaty textural feel, initial liquorice and black cherry flavours meld into dried meats, earthy graphite, smoky vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Dry finish with fine grained, slightly chewy tannins and lively acidity. Medium to long aftertaste of liquorice, black cherries, dried meats, earthy graphite and blackpepper.
Cellar 6-8 years.
