2014 Spy Valley Envoy Johnson Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose displays herbaceous grassy characters and asparagus as top notes followed by unripe gooseberries, dried herbs, pencil shaving characters and spice. Flavours of herbaceous gooseberries and citrus are overlaid by dried herbs and asparagus with ensuing spicy pencil shaving characters. Quite fullish in its mouthfeel yet finishing fresh with bracing acidity. Aftertaste of herbaceous gooseberries, asparagus, dried herb infusions, citrus and pencil shaving characters.
