2014 Sons of Eden Freya Riesling

Freya was the foremost goddess of ancient Germanic lands where the Riesling grape originated. Sons of Eden Freya Riesling is a tribute to the early German settlers who cultivated the first Riesling vines in the exemplary micro-climate of South Australia’s Eden Valley.

Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Intense lime and orange top notes are followed by some lemon sherbet and mineral. Excellent concentration with mouth watering flavours of lime, orange rind and lemon sherbet with a tangy mineral infused back palate. Crisp crunchy acid finish. Long aftertaste of lime, orange rind, lemon sherbet and mineral. A very concentrated Riesling.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years.
