A delicious, supplely textured GSM.

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark crimson red hue. Fragrantly scented the nose features inviting aromatics of spicy dark raspberries that intermingle with liquorice, incense and hints of clove underpinned by some earthy vanillin cedar and subtle dried herb notes. Medium bodied with a very supplely textured mouthfeel the palate is filled with succulent fruit flavours of dark raspberries, plums and touches of liquorice over a back drop of vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power with a long conclusion of juicy dark raspberries, plums, liquorice, subtle earth and spicy vanillin cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc 14.1%

Other Reviews….
All parcels vinified and matured separately, 15% whole bunches, 70% matured in used oak, 30% matured in tank. Despite its controlled alcohol, this has hairs on its chest, what legendary English writer George Saintsbury would have described as a manly/manliest wine, intended as high praise. It’s got years to run. Drink by 2034.
