Superb colour displaying an impenetrable midnight black core with a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Rising from the glass are aromas of ripe blackcurrant, a faint whiff of liquorice, cedary tobacco characters, subtle black olive and spicy bay leaf end notes. Medium to full bodied, possessing excellent richness and a firm structured mouthfeel the palate is awash with ripe blackcurrant flavours that fill every corner of the mouth over some subtle black olive infusions and cedary tobacco characters. Dry spicy finish with solidly built tannins firming up the back palate and providing some chewy grip. Long aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, cedary tobacco characters, some black olive and spice. A Cabernet with superb fruit intensity and structure.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews…
Excellent colour; deep in hue with an almost glowing brightness. Unequivocally cabernet from go to whoa. Blackcurrant, black olive, bay leaf and lanolin. Great structure; supple and sweet fruited but the tannin of grape and oak keep a strict line. A brilliant example of how good this variety can be in this region. Drink by 2034.
