2014 Reillys Dry Land Merlot

Matured for 2 years in French oak hogsheads and blended with 10% Dry Land Cabernet Sauvignon. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. The nose offers up aromas of dark plums and ripe mulberries over cedary tobacco characters and spice. Rich and quite full in terms of its body weight the palate possesses a ripe dark fruit profile of plums and chocolate over earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Firmish tannins create the impression of a dry grippy finish. Aftertaste of spicy dark plums, subtle dark chocolate, earthy vanillin cedar and dried herbs.
