2014 Pindarie Western Ridge Shiraz

Pindarie’s Western Ridge Shiraz is sourced entirely from single estate vineyards on the Western Ridge of the property. Several small batch ferments are conducted to optimise the characters of each sub block and offer blending options with maturation taking place in predominately French oak barrels for 12 months.

A Rich Pepper infused Shiraz with abundant structure.

Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose sports aromatics of liquorice and black cherries laced with blackpepper over some meaty characters and spicy vanillin cedar. Rich, full bodied and possessing a meaty muscular feel the palate has generous flavours of ripe black cherries, liquorice and blackberries with some dried meats, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and blackpepper infusions on the back palate. Chewy finish with dry firmish tannins but in balance. Long chewy aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice, blackberry, peppered dried meats and lightly toasted vanillin cedar.
