2014 Pikes 'The Merle' Riesling

Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted lemon and lime top notes are followed by some green apple, a hint of orange rind and mineral. Zesty lemon and lime flavours dominate the front palate with underlying crunchy green apples and a steely mineral infused finish. Steely structure with racy acidity. Long lemon, lime and steely mineral aftertaste. A Riesling that possesses excellent concentration, length and structure ensuring a long cellaring life.
