2014 Paxton Organic AAA Shiraz Grenache

Certified organic with maturation taking place in French oak barriques. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red purple hue. Nosing reveals aromas of liquorice intermixed with chocolate coated dark raspberries followed by some vanillin confectionary and spice. Ripe and juicy the palate dishes up a plushly textured flavour profile of liquorice, blackberries and dark raspberries over some vanillin cedar and spice. Quite soft and supple in the mouth with finely grained velvet like tannins and a touch of fresh acidity on the finish. Aftertaste of liquorice, dark raspberries, faint dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
