Certified organic. Totally opaque black core with a bright dark purple crimson hue. Fragrant aromas of liquorice and black cherries are intermixed with scorched earth, dried meats, vanillin cedar and pepper scents. Medium weight the palate has good rich black cherry and liquorice fruits which abound over a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar, dried meats and pepper. Plush, slightly chewy mouthfeel with the fine grained, yet solidly built tannins showing good integration. Long black cherry, liquorice, spicy vanillin oak, a subtle earthy meatiness and pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14%

Other Reviews….
A complex array of flavours, textures and tangs. Everything is beautifully integrated and yet you can feel and appreciate the positive effect of whole bunches, oak and spice-shot tannin. This isn't your standard fare. It's measured, composed, lively and exquisitely well balanced. Drink by 2030.
