2014 Mont-Redon Reserve Cotes du Rhone

Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark crimson hue. Aromas of black cherries intermingle with hints of raspberry, dried herbs, inky earth like characters and spice. Light to medium bodied the palate has generous black cherry and raspberry flavours laced with liquorice and incense infusions followed by some spicy dried herbs. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy black cherries, incense infusions, dried herbs and light pepper. A lighter, savoury styled Cotes du Rhone.
