2014 Main Divide Pinot Noir

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Deep bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas are overlaid by some anise and toasty oak with spicy dried herb notes. Medium bodied, supplely textured flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plums laced with anise show good richness. Underscoring these are ripe strawberries, lightly toasted cedar and spice. Slightly dryish finish with very finely grained almost velvet like tannins. Excellent weight and richness with a long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, ripe dark plums, subtle anise and lightly toasted cedar.
