2014 Lightfoot & Sons Myrtle Point Pinot Noir

‘Very savoury & long.’

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with a bright crimson hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries and strawberries intermixed with a hint of anise followed by some light stalky meatiness and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight the palate is relatively youthful with an excellent power wave and supple mouthfeel. It features generous flavours of both dark and sour cherries alongside some ripe strawberries with underlying dried meats, light smoky cedar and spice. Velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, subtle anise, strawberries and smoked meats. Cellar 5-6 years. Alc 13.5%
