2014 Kaesler Stonehorse Shiraz

Sourced from vines 15-45 years old with maturation taking place in 4 year old barrels for 15 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose offers up aromas of spicy dark plums, clove and liquorice over subtle toasty vanillin cedar and pepper. The rich full bodied palate is filled with lusciously textured flavours of dark plums and liquorice subtlety infused with clove and spicy vanillin cedar followed by some toastiness and blackpepper on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Long supple aftertaste of liquorice, spicy dark plums, clove, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and blackpepper.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
