2014 J&J Wines Rivers Lane Organic Shiraz

Aged in a mix of French and American oak and certified organic. Totally opaque inky black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple black hue. Lifted ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas are intermixed with smoky vanillin cedar, hints of dried meats and blackpepper. Full bodied and showing fantastic richness the palate is awash with succulent ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours which sit over toasty vanillin cedar with blackpepper and subtle spicy dried meats ensuing. Opulent meaty like mouthfeel with a slightly dryish finish and chewy tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberries, toasty vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper. Delivers a big mouthful of juicy McLaren Vale Shiraz with infusions of blackpepper.
