2014 Irvine Springhill Merlot

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. The nose exhibits stewed plum and ripe dark cherry top notes followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with a fleshy feel the palate has flavours of dark plums, stewed fruits, chocolatey vanillin cedar, a touch of earthy tobacco and spice. Soft fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark plums, stewed fruit, chocolatey vanillin cedar and a hint of earthy tobacco.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
