2014 Howard Park Leston Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in a combination of old and new French oak barriques for 20 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Refined aromas of mulberries and ripe red currant intermix with cedary tobacco characters followed by hints of black olive and spicy bay leaf. Medium weight with a plethora of rich red and dark fruits that include red and black currant as well as mulberries. Beneath the fruit is a backdrop of cedary tobacco characters, a touch of bay leaf and spicy earth. Elegantly structured with fine grained yet sturdily built tannins. Long aftertaste of red currant, mulberries, cedary tobacco characters and spicy bay leaf.
