2014 Hewitson Miss Harry Harriet's Blend

A blend of Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvedre, Carigna and Cinsault. Deep dark red colour with a tinge of black around the outskirts and a dark red hue. Aromas of dark raspberry, plum, liquorice and spice overlay vanillin cedar and hints of earth. Medium weight with a supple entry the palate possesses fleshy flavours of spicy dark raspberries and plum with traces of liquorice also apparent over a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar and hints of scorched earth. Soft fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark raspberries, plum, liquorice and earthy vanillin cedar.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

While there is prodigious flavour, there's no overripe fruit. It weaves some of the magic of the Rhone Valley's iconic Chateau Rayas, the ultimate compliment. Drink by 2024.
