2014 Hentley Farm The Quintessential Shiraz Cabernet

A blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Totally opaque inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and blackcurrant rise from the glass with ensuing choc mint, vanillin cedar and spice notes. Full bodied the palate boasts superb richness, filled with lush fruit flavours of liquorice, blackberries and cassis infused with choc mint which overlay vanillin cedar, a hint of earth and spice. The wealth of opulent fruit creates a plush textural feel beneath the sturdily constructed yet very finely grained tannins. Plenty of power and depth here with a long finish made up of blackberries, liquorice, blackcurrant infused with choc mint and spicy vanillin cedar.
