2014 Godelia Viernes Mencia

Produced from 100% Mencia. Opaque dark red black core with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals a combination of black cherry and black raspberry aromatics infused with incense followed by lightly scorched earth and subtle spicy dried herb end notes. Medium bodied with a faint chewiness to the mouthfeel the palate has flavours of juicy black cherries and black raspberries intermixed with a trace of liquorice and old cedar underpinned by scorched earth and spice. Slightly chewy but ripe tannins. Aftertaste of spicy black cherries, liquorice, scorched earth and pepper.
