2014 Fraser Gallop Estate Parterre Chardonnay

Matured in a combination of new and old French oak for 10 months. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a light greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Pronounced aromas of white peaches intermixed with dried honey and flinty struck match stick characters are followed by traces of nougat and biscuity oak. Mouthfilling white peach and more subtle nectarine flavours decorate the palate intermixed with flinty match stick notes followed by some citrusy dried honey and a sprinkling of mineral. Good fresh finish with a slight sense of elegant creaminess about the mouthfeel that will be further enhanced with bottle age. Long aftertaste of white peach, citrusy dried honey, flinty matchstick notes and mineral.
