Dodgy Bros. is the partnership of a grower, a viticulturist and a winemaker who still like to do business the old fashioned way and seal all their business deals with a handshake producing wines of a quality stand point that are anything but dodgy. The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Whites Valley and Dry Creek vineyards located about 1km apart in the Sellicks Foothills sub region of McLaren Vale with maturation taking place in a mixture of old French barriques and one new American hogshead.

Copiously Rich this a magnificent example of quintessential McLaren Vale Shiraz

Totally opaque midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced liquorice and aniseed aromas waft from the glass joint by some dark plums and black cherries with underlying vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper notes. Dense and explosively rich the large scaled palate dishes up lashings of liquorice, aniseed, blackberries and black cherry flavours with a peppery overlay and underlying vanillin cedar. The power and depth is outstanding with the layers of opulently textured fruit ably supported by velvet like yet sturdily built tannin structure. Very long succulent aftertaste of liquorice, aniseed, blackberries, vanillin cedar and blackpepper.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%
