Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up aromas of blackcurrant tinged with liquorice and black olive over some subtle cigar box, earth and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses rich blackcurrant and liquorice flavours with a sturdy underbelly of fine grained tannins. Also chipping in are nuances of vanillin cedar, earth and spice. Dry, slightly chewy finish with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spicy scorched earth.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Deep, bright purple-crimson; as ever, a distinguished cabernet, perfectly groomed and perfectly balanced; the cassis fruit has a sprig of bay leaf, the tannins are firm but fine, and the French oak is both balanced and integrated. Drink by 2034.
