2014 Cape Mentelle Trinders Cabernet Merlot

Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose plays its cards close to its chest with aromatics of blackcurrant and black olive slowly unravelling themselves from the glass followed by notions of cigar box, earthy bay leaf and spice. Medium bodied with rich blackcurrant flavours infused with black olive underpinned by earthy cigar box characters, dried herbs and spice. Dry finish with a firmish feel from the grainy tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrants infused with black olives, earthy cigar box and spicy dried herbs.
