2014 Calabria Three Bridges Durif

Displays the magnificent colour saturation that is a trademark of this variety. Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Nosing reveals lifted aromatics of ripe Morello cherries, dark plums, liquorice and dark chocolate over a background of spicy vanillin oak. Rich juicy flavours of Morello cherries, dark plums and liquorice fill the palate followed by vanillin oak and spice. Dry grippy finish with a firm robust tannin structure making its presence felt. Chewy opulent mouthfeel with a long chewy aftertaste of ripe Morello cherries, dark plum, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak.
