2014 Alkoomi Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in French oak for 12 months of which 20% was new. Opaque dark red black core with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant mix with cedary tobacco characters, subtle bay leaf and spicy dried herb elements. Medium bodied with ample rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruit holding sway over a back drop of cedary tobacco characters, earthy black olives, dried herbs and spice. Firmish tannins impart some grip and dryness to the finish. Robust mouthfeel with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, earthy cedar, tobacco, black olives and spicy dried herbs.
