2014 Ad Hoc Cruel Mistress Pinot Noir

Sourced from several locations in the Great Southern, the fruit was fermented using a combination of wild fermentation, whole bunch pressing was employed and maturation took place in 1-3 year old French oak for six months.

Semi translucent dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with scents of violets, dark cherries and ripe plum followed by a touch of anise and spicy cedar. Medium weight the palate features a rich ripe flavour profile of ripe dark cherries, dark plum and anise over a background of toasty cedar, earth and spice. Excellent power and richness with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of dark cherries, dark plum, scorched earth and spicy cedar. A delicious rich, fuller style of Pinot Noir.
