Superb inky black colour with a deep dark crimson red black hue. Lifted aromas of liquorice and plum are overlaid by a hint of dried apricot with some smoky vanillin oak and spice following. Rich and succulently textured the palate boasts a sumptuous flavour profile of liquorice and dark plum over a background of smoky vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Supple velvety tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, plum, subtle dried apricot, smoky vanillin cedar and pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews….
One of three identically labelled regional wines, the others McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley, the making virtually identical, focused on the rich fruit each wine has, but tempered by the dictates of the region. Here there is the essential soft mid-palate fruit of Langhorne Creek, but it also has an admirable degree of finesse. Drink by 2023.
