2013 Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

Outstanding colour displaying a saturated inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Aromas of perfectly ripened blackcurrant mingle with hints of liquorice and blackberries over a backdrop of subtle tobacco, earthy vanillin cedar and spice. The palate is awash with blackcurrant fruit that sits alongside inky blackberry and traces of liquorice tightly wrapped up in a sturdy firmly built structure that bodes well for long term cellaring. Nuances of earthy vanillin cedar, faint tobacco and spice are also present on the back palate. Firm yet refined tannins. Excellent depth of fruit with a long ripe blackcurrant, inky blackberry, liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste.
