2013 Woodlands Emily Special Reserve

Opaque black dark red colour with a deep purple red hue. Pretty nose with aromas of violets, blackcurrants and dark cherries followed by nuances of earthy cedar, subtle bay leaf and spice. Medium bodied the palate is supremely elegant and moves across the palate with great finesse. Flavours of blackcurrant and dark cherries feature over some cedar, light bay leaf and spice with a dry tightly wound finish. Firm, slightly chalky but very fine grained tannins complete the Bordeaux like picture. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar and spicy earth.
