Long and flavoursome, this Cabernet Merlot offers exceptional value

Matured in French oak for 14-16 months this blend displays an opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry are overlaid by some tobacco like characters with cigar box and spice nuances following. Medium bodied the palate is loaded with generous blackcurrant and mulberry fruit which dominates over a back drop of cedary tobacco, faint bay leaf and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Finishes with a long conclusion of blackcurrant, mulberry, spicy cedary tobacco characters and subtle bay leaf.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews…
A highly expressive wine from the opening bell, cassis and red fruits jumping all over the place on the bouquet and palate, the latter particularly long and light on its feet, waving the juicy fruit on to the finish without any tannin or oak impediment to blur the message. Great value. Drink by 2025.
