2013 Veritas Winery Bull's Blood Shiraz Mataro Pressings

Produced from Shiraz and Mataro Pressings sourced from historic bush vines planted in the 1880’s.
Wonderful depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Heady aromatics of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate drift from the glass over a vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice background. Rich succulent flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plum flood the palate with underlying dark chocolate, earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Round opulent textural feel with a sturdy tannin structure largely concealed to the point of being velvet like. Long lavish aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, dark plums, vanillin oak, earth and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
