2013 Twinwoods Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in a mix of 50% new and 50% second fill fine grain French oak barriques. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated blackcurrant and mulberry aromas are intertwined with some cedary tobacco characters followed by subtle black olive infusions, a hint of earth and spice. The palate contains good richness within a sturdily built framework featuring generous blackcurrant and mulberry flavours over some cedary tobacco infusions, bay leaf and spice. The fine grained tannins providing good structure and a touch of firmness on the back palate. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, tobacco infusions, a touch of bay leaf and spicy cedar. A full bodied style of Cabernet with ripe firm tannins.
