2013 Turkey Flat Barossa Shiraz

Totally opaque midnight black colour with a purple crimson hue. Aromas of dark plums and liquorice are to the fore followed by some blackberry, vanillin confectionary, subtle dried meats and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate is relatively quite elegant and has a meatiness about the texture. Mouthfilling flavours of blackberries, liquorice and dark plum form over a meaty backdrop with a touch of vanillin cedar also present finishing quite peppery. Slightly dryish but very fine grained tannins. Excellent depth with a long conclusion of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark plum, peppered dried meats and vanillin cedar.
