2013 Tscharke The Master Montepulciano

Very deep dark red purple colour with a tinge of black around the edges and a bright purple red hue. Ripe dark cherry top notes are followed by plum and a touch of liquorice with underlying earthiness and spice end notes. Medium bodied, generous ripe dark cherry and plum flavours dominate the front of the palate followed by earthy characters and spice. Dryish finish with the tannins imparting a leathery mouthfeel. Aftertaste of dark cherries, plum, earthy leather and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
