2013 Tim Gramp Basket Pressed Watervale Shiraz

Outstanding depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with an equally deep black dark red hue. Top notes of liquorice and ripe black plums dominate the nose followed by some volatile blackberry liqueur like notes and varnish. Big and rich with a very grippy tannic finish, the palate is loaded with flavours of liquorice and blackberries over some vanillin oak and spice which run into a wall of firm drying tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry liqueur, vanillin oak and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
